More more more pictures being added into what is now becoming a picture blog...

Ok, i have two friends and one student leaving this week. My good friend Kirk, pictured here, is leaving this week and going back to his house in Canada, which he will stay at for about a month before going to his other home in Hawaii. unacceptable. thats ok, i have a questionable picture of him. this was his going away party even though he's here for 5 more days.

There it is. :)

COOKING DAY!! YAY!! No-real-work-day!
all we did was make kimbap with seaweed and rice paper. and then we colored.

And then after cooking, we get to celebrate Kelly and June's birthdays which are both on the same day, Sunday!! YAY!! I get to do even less!!

James was cracking me up because this was our science class where we make random things, and this was just a demonstration in animation. there are a bunch of pictures of frogs inside, so when you spin it it looks like it is jumping up and down. all the kids liked it, but james sat there for about 10 minutes just spinning it one time and dying of hysterical laughter, just to compose himself enough to do it all over again. i thought it was hilarious that he could get so much entertainment out of so little, but he was obviously loving it!

It was Amy's last day before moving to Canada with her family. That's the first person who is leaving this week out of the three, as she leaves monday. She is a very interesting kid who always made me laugh because she is so weird. but not gross weird, she just had an extremely interesting personality. so she will be greatly missed.

and the answer is: no. she cant see from under the rabbit's decapitated head.

Picture Update!!!

With that aside, i forgot to upload the pictures i took of the Halloween costume day we had at school!!

That's enough of that. Time for some other misc. pictures!

Kelly got a haircut!! She is even more adorable now
.

Now for the not so cute. This is my friend Phil who is a kyopo (korean word for a Korean person born and raised in the U.S. ) This is him after becoming heavily intoxicated. Interesting side note about him: when he gets drunk his eyes squint more and more when he smiles.

His eyes are actually closed here, and i'm not trying to make any racist jokes here. this is just his "I'm really drunk" face. he's a clown, but a funny one.

Yea. I miss home a little bit.........

I will definitely miss thanksgiving......but i miss soul food most of all.

I dont know why they think beans are a meat...

I made my first home-made American meal this past week. Just some spaghetti and italian bread and veggies. But I miss half-and-half and mac-n-cheese and greens and thick fries and ...............
sorry i passed out.

It actually pains me physically to look at this.

i can cook all this stuff, but they just dont have alot of the ingredients to make it and i dont have an oven.
so its hard to find stuff to cook over here, so im eating out alot, but its not fast food. its kimbap (rice and veggies wrapped in seaweed), ramen (in a restaurant is ridiculously good), kim chi, other korean foods and pizza.
but its a much different culture. meals here need to be eaten together with others and are always social and relaxing events. they even treat mcdonalds and burger king like its only a sit down restaurant with some semblance of class. a drive thru would NEVER fly here at any place due to the fact they just wouldnt like it. and because they suck at driving.

just remember me when you're eating. and remember that theres no turkey in korea. so i hate you all.

(edit: that damn pyramid reminded me of my love for 'nana pudding.....now i think i'll just stay in tonight............and weep softly..........
........and cut myself.............(yes my love for 'nana pudding goes that deep!)
